Helping Veterans
Through Christ
and the
Great Outdoors
For many Veterans, the battle does not end when they return home. Mission Outdoors was created to provide Veterans with meaningful opportunities to reconnect, build relationships, experience the healing power of the outdoors, and continue moving forward alongside people who understand the challenges they face.
Through Mission Outdoors, Heroes Never Alone provides outdoor experiences at no cost to the Veteran, including guided hunting and fishing trips, hiking, camping, shooting sports, and other outdoor activities. At the heart of the program is a commitment to helping our Nation's Veterans battle the lasting effects of war while working to prevent Veteran suicide through faith, fellowship, and the great outdoors.

Creating Opportunities for
Veterans of All Abilities
Mission Outdoors is also committed to making outdoor experiences accessible to all Veterans. Through the program's Action Trackchair, Veterans with limited mobility have the opportunity to get back outdoors and participate in experiences that might otherwise be difficult or impossible to access. Heroes Never Alone</Heroes Never Alone> states that its Trackchair is the only one currently available for public use in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Veterans interested in securing a hunt using the Action Trackchair through Mission Outfitters can contact the organization for additional information and availability. The chair may also be available for rental to civilians for qualifying events.
More Than an
Outdoor Adventure
Mission Outdoors is about more than hunting, fishing, hiking, or spending a day outside. It is about giving Veterans a place to belong, opportunities to reconnect with others, and a reminder that they do not have to face life's challenges alone.
Whether it is a Veteran returning to the woods for the first time following an injury, sharing a fishing trip with fellow Veterans, or simply enjoying the peace that comes from being outdoors, every experience supports the same purpose:
