President
Andrew Gornik is the co-founder of Heroes Never Alone, where he has dedicated his career to building a lasting mission of service for Veterans. Drawing on years of experience in corporate management and the home remodeling industry, Andrew applies his business expertise to strengthen operations, foster teamwork, and expand the organization’s reach. A strategic leader, he credits the success of Heroes Never Alone to the dedication of its team and no one person is above that Team’s success. Confidently building a foundation to sustain the organization's mission for years to come, maintaining its’ vision, long after the founders retire.".

Shela Gornik
Vice President
Shela Gornik is the co-founder of Heroes Never Alone and a passionate advocate for Veterans. Known for her exceptional people skills and genuine compassion, she has built vital partnerships that expand the organization’s impact across Western Pennsylvania. Her commitment is deeply personal—most notably demonstrated when she donated a kidney to the son of a Veteran—reflecting her dedication to serving and uplifting those who have served our nation. Shela leads with empathy, transforming lives one act of kindness at a time!

Jonathan Hottle
Trustee
Jonathan Hottle is a seasoned real estate investor, Certified Financial Planner™, and entrepreneur dedicated to helping others achieve long-term financial freedom. With a proven track record in building businesses and developing sustainable income strategies, Jonathan combines strategic expertise with a genuine commitment to service. As a member of the Heroes Never Alone board, he brings both financial acumen and community-driven leadership to advance the organization’s mission of honoring and supporting our nation’s heroes and their families.

Roxanne Palmer
Veteran's Advocate
Roxanne Palmer is a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Iraq from 2008 to 2009. Following her military service, she built a distinguished career with the Department of Human Services at the Regional Forensics Psychiatric Center at Torrance State Hospital, where she provided therapeutic support to individuals navigating complex mental health challenges. After retiring from that role, Roxanne fully committed herself to the mission of Heroes Never Alone: “Standing Beside Those Who Once Stood Before Us.” Her personal and professional journey continues to fuel her passion for advocating for Veterans, with a particular focus on transitional housing and essential support services.
